I can think of two ways mixing trick and lagging tail could work, though neither are great. The first is to have a Pokémon who can already make use of a lagging tail (like Pokémon with analytic or one who used payback or avalanche) and give it trick so that it can hinder an opponent in a pinch, but in most cases the Pokémon would either want ...

You can always use an iron ball or a power item instead of the lagging tail. They cut speed as well. Power items are probably better in some cases because they don’t ground flying type Pokémon. 4. Aside from Trick Room, you can use Trick to force it on to your opponent so they go slow and are susceptible to ground if they weren't before. (not that useful imo, but that's one of the uses) 2. Reply. Share. L33tm4st3r. • 13 yr. ago. Gyro ball gets powered up due to the weight increase. 2. Reply.

Award. TricksterESP. • 2 yr. ago. Turn order doesn't change dynamically, speed does. Lagging tail makes you move last in your turn priority bracket but doesn't actually change your speed, that's why it doesn't work until the next turn and not immediately. 4. Reply. Award. TwitchyNo2.

The lagging tail . What we do know. It's the tail of"something" (as descriped in Scarlet and Violet). It's held by Slowpoke (but not it's evolve forms) and the Lickitung and Cufant lines. It's completely pointless, since all it does is slow down your own Pokemon.

Really liking the Trick+Lagging Tail combo to shut down sweepers such as WP Coalossal+Dragapult down as well as quashing Regieleki, Nihilego or any fast+frail threat that an ally can OHKO. Fake Tears helps Duraludon and Venusaur Sweep, Spirit Break for Urshifu and Moltres-G, and BJ for spread chip and pairs with lagging tail/FT and Sun decently ...

Was gonna put on pelipper or politoed and yeah torkoal is the main thing I wanna underspeed. Ya you just can’t that’s what makes torkoal such an effective weather setter , maybe prankster rain dance ? True that would work well, tho it'll cost that one move for the turn. You'd want iron ball to actually cut speed. I was wondering if lagging ...

I do not see it listed anywhere, however you can get Iron Ball off of Cufant in Mt Moon tunnels during the day. Slowing speed and “always moves last” not totally the same, but similar if you are going for Trick/Switcharoo strats. 1. Reply. I want to give my pokemon a lagging tail.

The upside for using Sableye + Quash is you Quash and then try to either OHKO the Mon or, in the case of say Dracovish's Fishious Rend or waterspout/eruption if you attack into the spot as well, lessen the damage you might take. Lagging tail just slows down 1 mon where quash is repeatable. At this point you might as well Trick/Switcheroo+Eject ...

Lagging Tail Strategy in Pokemon Ranked Battle. That man brought 3 physical attackers lol. If you would have had sub seed Whimsicott you would have swept him as well. Absolutely insane to bring 100% physical attackers only vs any team that has Whimsicott at team preview. I guess that is what makes Whimsicott pretty damn good though, it has ...
